The Sea is a Hungry Dog | Poem Stanza| By Rhianne and Carolyn

When the night comes, wind roars

Along the sandy shores,

The waves lap and lick

And strolls along the beach

And sucks up all the sand like a leech

My Great Wall of China Report!!

The Great Wall of China
Report

The Chinese wall was built 221 B.C. B.C. is the year when Christ wasn’t around. The great wall of China was used for military defence. The person who built the great wall is Emperor Qin, Shi Huang. Most people that helped build the great wall were mostly soldiers and convicts. The wall was built to protect China from the Mongolians and Manchurians.

The Ming wall is another name for the great wall of China. The great wall of China extends from west to east China 8,50 km or 5,500 miles. The average height of the Ming wall is 7..88 meters. They spent 200 years building the great wall. The wall is placed in Huairou district.

The great wall is a very popular tourist destination. Visitors like to admire the view and take photos. Many people/tourists often come to the great wall because it has a long history and a huge scale which is said that you can see the wall from space.

The Ming wall is built from many materials including packed dirt, wood, brick and stone. The great wall is a powerful symbol. It is a very important symbol to China. They began  building watchtowers and garrisons, then later, started adding walls of stone and earth.

Many people say that you can see the great wall of China from space but that is actually not true. Fun fact, you can see the great wall with a naked eye. The great wall attracts many people each year. It is known to be the longest man made structure ever made.
