Nelson Mandela was the president of South Africa. He has his own charity called the Nelson Mandela Children’s fund (NMCF). Nelson Mandela was famous for being the President of South Africa.

Nelson Mandela was born on July 18th 1918 in Mvezo, South Africa. His parents are Noqaphi Nosekeni and Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa. His siblings are Nomabandla Mandela (Brother), Lieby Mandela, Constance Mandela (Sister), Baliwe Mandela (Sister), Makhutswana Mandela (Sister), Baliwe Mandela (Sister), Mhlalwa Mandela (Brother), Mabel Mandela, Bethusile Mandela (Sister) and Daligqili Mandela who is his sister. Mr Mandela went to the University of Fort Hare, the South African Native College. He then moved to the city of Johannesburg to study law at the University of Witwatersrand before he became a lawyer in 1942 aged 24. He was a nonviolent activist, politician and philanthropist who became South Africa’s first black president from 1994 - 1999. He began in 1962.
Mandela spent 27 years in prison for political offenses. For 20 years he directed a campaign of peaceful, nonviolent defiance against the South African president F.W de Klerk., were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for efforts to the countries apartheid system.

I think Nelson Mandela is the ultimate Unsung Hero because he stood up for the lives of African people and went to prison for 27 years. I deeply admire what he did for black people. If Nelson Mandela was living I would like to thank him for all the things he did. I truly believe that Nelson Mandela is an inspiration to others. Even though I would have not have  done what he did I still appreciate what he did.

My Superhero art Reflection

Enlargement Super Hero Art

  1. What did you accomplish?
I accomplished drawing the grid lines, vividing my spiderman, painting the outline/ background

  1. Are you satisfied with your Super Hero enlargement? Why / Why not?
Yes because I like the colour scheme that I used for my background  and the blue I used for the pants

3.What did you find easy when you created your Super Hero enlargement?
I found doing the eyes easy and also ruling the paper down and across the paper.

4.What did you find challenging when you were creating your Super Hero enlargement?
What I found challenging was drawing spiderman because there were many gridlines to follow and his arms and legs were sort of complicated because they were connected to each other.

What do you need to work on?
I need to work on my hands because there were too straight and big.

5.What would you change with your Super Hero enlargement?
I would change the arms because I think they need to be less bumpy and another thing I would change is to not paint outside the drawing.

6.What would you do next time to improve your super hero enlarged image?
I would like to improve on my superhero enlargement by painting inside the image instead of out and doing the lines properly

Sir Edmund Hillary climbed to the top of MT Everest on the
29th May 1953. He tackled rock and ice faces for 5 hours,
but he wasn't alone. He had his climbing partner Sherpa
Tenzing Norgay. After many freezing cold hours of climbing
they finally made it to the top of MT Everest at 11:30 am.
They felt like they were on top of the world.

During the next fifty years Sir Edmund Hillary established
the Himalayan Trust. Heaps of donations came from all
around the world and also volunteer help. He set up
experience on tractors through deep piles of snow and
crevasse covered glaciers. Sir Ed talked to a sherpa about
what’s going to happen in all of their futures. Then the
Himalayan Trust was born. Many donations came from all
around the world to help the Himalayan Trust.

On the first opening of the school 40 students attended.
There were many volunteer help that came from many
different places.
The Sherpas required n airstrip but without no roads and
heavy machinery one hundred Sherpas cut down some bush,
dug out roots and leveled the land. The land was so rocky
which built them to have to move around boulders into big
holes.
